Ogopogo Electric is a locally owned and operated electrical company based in Vernon, BC, proudly Powering the Okanagan & Shuswap.
I’m Dominic Gagnon, the owner and electrician behind Ogopogo Electric. I’m a Red Seal Construction and Maintenance Electrician with more than 22 years of experience across residential, commercial and industrial electrical work. I also hold my BC FSR-B qualification.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked as an electrician, foreman, estimator, quality-control inspector and business owner. That experience has taught me how to look beyond the immediate problem, understand the entire electrical system and find practical solutions that are safe, code-compliant and built to last.
Why I Started Ogopogo Electric
I built Ogopogo Electric around a simple idea: dealing with an electrician shouldn’t be complicated.
When you contact Ogopogo Electric, you deal directly with me—from the first conversation and planning through to the installation, testing and final cleanup. There are no salespeople, unnecessary layers or getting passed from one person to another.
My goal is to give every customer clear advice, straightforward options and quality workmanship. Whether you need a small repair, help planning a renovation or an honest assessment of an older electrical system, I’ll take the time to explain what I find and help you decide on the right way forward.
